We liked the fact that we chose Foxghyll Country House. In general, the hotel was spotless. Plenty of restaurants to eat close by, like Zeffirelli's that was only 10 minutes' walk away. The view was STUNNING here.

excellent base for 3 nights. the room was good sized and included an electric kettle and glassware. perfect host running the hotel. besides, it has a free parking and free wi fi. the place is 2 km away from ambleside downtown.

Location was amazing, just 2 km to old town. No complaints, the hotel met what was needed. Good choice for discovering Ambleside.
